Study Purpose: This study tests the new medicine, depemokimab, for people with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD). COPD is a lung disease that makes it hard to breathe. We're checking if starting depemokimab early helps people with type 2 inflammation, a specific type of lung inflammation.

Who Can Join: Adults with moderate to severe COPD for at least one year can join. They need a specific type of inflammation with certain blood counts and must either smoke cigarettes now or have smoked a lot in the past. Participants must already use certain inhaler therapies for at least three months.

Who Cannot Join: People whose main lung problem isn't COPD, who had more than one severe episode in the past year, or who recently had lung issues (like pneumonia) cannot join. Those needing certain breathing machines or oxygen all the time can't participate either.

  • The study involves regular check-ups and tests.
  • Participants must have used specific inhalers for 3 months.
  • People with other serious lung diseases are not eligible.
