This study is testing how well a drug called camlipixant works and how safe it is for adults with two types of irritable bowel syndrome, IBS-D (diarrhea) and IBS-M (mixed). The study is split into two parts. After the first part, some people will either get more of the drug or stop taking it.
- The study is for adults aged 18 to 80 with specific types of IBS.
- You cannot join if you have other digestive issues like IBS-C (constipation) or certain health problems.
- Participation involves regular check-ups, and you may be randomly chosen for a different dose.
To join, you need to meet specific criteria, like having a certain level of IBS symptoms. You can’t join if you have other health issues like certain infections or liver problems. The study checks your health before you start to ensure safety. Remember, this is a volunteer study, and you can leave at any time if you wish.
