This study is looking at two drugs, PF-08653945 and PF-08653944, to see if they help people lose weight safely. Sometimes, they will be compared to a placebo, which is a fake pill with no medicine, to see if the real ones work better. People who can join this study are adults who are overweight (BMI 27.0 to less than 30.0) or have obesity (BMI 30.0 to 50.0). BMI stands for Body Mass Index, which is a way to measure if someone has a healthy weight for their height. Participants also need to have a health issue related to their weight, like high blood pressure. People cannot join if they have diabetes, have lost a lot of weight recently, or are pregnant.
- The study requires participants to be monitored over a period of time to check the safety and effectiveness of the drugs.
- Participants may receive either the study drugs or a placebo.
- Participants should not expect any weight loss medication for 12 weeks before joining the study.
