In this study, researchers are exploring the safety and effectiveness of a new drug called *sovateltide* for treating *acute cerebral ischemic stroke* (ACIS). ACIS happens when blood flow to the brain is blocked, causing brain cells to die. Sovateltide is designed to help protect and repair brain cells after such a stroke. Current treatments like *tissue plasminogen activator* (t-PA) must be given quickly, within 4.5 hours of stroke symptoms, but they don't work for everyone. Sovateltide has shown promise in early tests with animals and humans, suggesting it might improve recovery for stroke patients.
- **Study Participation**: You must be 18-80 years old and have had a stroke recently.
- **Duration and Visits**: You need to be available for all treatment doses and follow-up visits.
- **Compensation and Risks**: Compensation details and potential risks will be provided during the consent process.
Interested participants will be evaluated to ensure they meet study criteria and are not involved in any other clinical trials. This study is conducted in multiple countries, ensuring a wide range of participants.
