This study is testing a new medicine called ALKS 2680 for people with Narcolepsy Type 2 (NT2), a disorder that makes you feel very sleepy during the day. The study will compare how well ALKS 2680 tablets work against placebo tablets, which look like medicine but have no active drug. Researchers want to see if the new medicine helps reduce daytime sleepiness and other NT2 symptoms.
Narcolepsy Type 2 (NT2) is a condition that causes excessive daytime sleepiness without the sudden muscle weakness (cataplexy) seen in Narcolepsy Type 1. Placebo is a substance with no medicine used in studies to compare effects with the actual drug.
