This study is about testing a new medicine called CagriSema to help people with obesity lose weight. Some people in the study will also have type 2 diabetes (T2D), which is a condition where the body has trouble using sugar properly. Participants will get either CagriSema or a known medicine called semaglutide. Which medicine they get is decided by chance, like flipping a coin. The study lasts about 83 weeks, which is almost a year and a half, to see how well the medicines work and if they are safe.
- The study will last for about 83 weeks.
- Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either CagriSema or semaglutide.
- Participants must be 18 years or older with a BMI of 35 or higher.
People cannot join if they've lost more than 5% of their weight recently or have used similar medicines in the last 6 months. The study aims to see if CagriSema can safely help people lose weight.
