Phase N/A

The aim of this study is to test a special video program called *VIDEO-PEDS* to help doctors and parents of kids with cancer communicate better about the child's care goals. The study wants to see if this video helps document care plans and improve outcomes for patients and their parents. These goals of care (GOC) can include decisions about medical procedures like CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and using hospice care.

  • The study lasts up to 27 months with 504 parent participants across three cycles.
  • The trial involves video watching and discussions with trained Navigators.
  • Participants will be asked to fill out surveys and may be interviewed.

If you're part of the study, you will watch the video and talk with a Navigator about your child's care over several months. This study is being done at three major hospitals and is open to parents of children aged 0-12 years with any type of cancer. The study is conducted in English and Spanish, ensuring diverse representation. Participants will be asked to share their thoughts to help improve the program.
