This study looks at whether a therapy called tAN (transcutaneous Auricular Neurostimulation) can help reduce blood loss when people have a dialysis AV graft (a type of surgery for kidney patients) put in. In this study, adults who need this surgery will be randomly split into two groups. One group will receive real tAN treatment, while the other will receive a pretend treatment (sham). Both groups will get their treatments for 30 minutes just before the surgery. The amount of blood lost will be measured to see if the treatment helps.
- The study takes place at a single center and is a pilot, meaning it's a small, early test.
- Participants have to be between 18 and 75 years old and able to understand English.
- People can't join if they have certain medical issues or are pregnant.
