A Study of Modified Release RTN-001 In Patients With Uncontrolled Hypertension

Exploring a new medication for high blood pressure management.

18-70 years
All
Phase 2

The study is testing a new drug, RTN-001, to see if it can help lower high blood pressure in adults. **High blood pressure**, also known as *hypertension*, is when the force of blood against your artery walls is too high, which can lead to health problems. Researchers will give some participants the drug and others a placebo, which looks like the drug but has no active ingredients, to compare results. Participants will take RTN-001 or the placebo daily for 12 weeks.

  • Participants will visit the clinic every 2 weeks for checkups and tests during the study.
  • Eligible participants are adults aged 18-70 with uncontrolled high blood pressure while on two or more medications.
  • Participants will be monitored for any medical problems or side effects during the study.

During the study, participants will keep a diary to track symptoms and medications. This process helps researchers understand if the drug is safe and effective in treating uncontrolled high blood pressure. The study is conducted in a way that neither the participants nor the researchers know who is receiving RTN-001 or the placebo, ensuring unbiased results.
