This study is for adults aged 18-75 with Treatment-resistant Depression (TRD). This is when a person has Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) but doesn’t get better after trying at least 2-5 antidepressant treatments. The study will test how well a new drug, ALTO-207, works compared to a placebo (a "sugar pill" with no medicine). Participants must already be taking 1-2 antidepressants and can't have unstable medical conditions or severe mental health issues like bipolar disorder or PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder). If you have allergies to ALTO-207, or are using certain other medications, you can't join.
- Study involves comparing ALTO-207 with a placebo for TRD patients.
- Participants need to be on stable doses of antidepressants.
- Can't join if you've been in a recent mental health trial with test products.
