STAR Trial (Siegel Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement in Patients With Symptomatic Severe Aortic Stenosis)

Trial studying heart valve replacement for severe aortic stenosis symptoms.

18 years and older

Phase N/A

The STAR Trial is studying a new way to help people with a heart problem called aortic stenosis. Aortic stenosis is when a valve in the heart becomes too narrow, making it hard for blood to flow. This study looks at a special treatment called **TAVR** (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement), which replaces the old valve without major surgery. The Siegel™ TAVR System will be tested for safety and how well it works over time.

  • The study is for adults 18 years and older who need a new heart valve due to severe aortic stenosis.
  • Participants need to visit the doctor for follow-ups and understanding the procedures is necessary.
  • Some conditions like certain heart, blood vessel, or lung issues may prevent participation.

If you have this heart condition and meet the criteria, this study may help improve your condition without traditional surgery. However, it's important to understand all requirements and risks before participating.
