This study investigates pancreatic cancer in patients who are malnourished or at risk of malnutrition and are undergoing surgery. The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of nutritional support on these patients.
The study evaluates how different nutritional strategies affect digestive tolerance, nutritional status, and metabolic and inflammatory markers. It also looks at how these strategies influence gut microbiota composition.
- Who can participate: Adults with pancreatic cancer undergoing specific surgery, who are malnourished or at risk, can join. Participants must have no prior chemotherapy or radiotherapy and no severe comorbidities.
- Study details: Participants will receive a nutritional supplement to evaluate its effects on health outcomes. Some participants may receive a placebo.
