This study aims to check how well DANU Smart Socks work for people with Parkinson's Disease (PD). PD can cause walking and balance problems that increase the risk of falling. The smart socks have sensors that can track movement and balance. The study will see if they give good information to help doctors understand and predict falls.
Participants will visit Northumbria University twice to test the smart socks. During these visits, participants will perform walking and balance tasks. The results from the socks will be compared to other high-standard lab equipment to check their accuracy and reliability.
- Length: Two visits required at Northumbria University.
- No Treatment: This is an observational study, meaning no treatments or interventions will be given.
- Eligibility: Must have Parkinson's, be able to walk/stand for 2 minutes, and have no other neurological disorders.
