Phase N/A

This study looks at how virtual reality (VR) can help understand the fear of falling (FoF) in people with Parkinson's disease. Parkinson's is a condition that affects movement and balance, causing people to fall more often. The study will use VR to create realistic situations where people might feel unsteady, and then measure their reactions. This includes looking at how the brain and muscles respond, and how stable their posture is. Participants will complete tasks in both real and virtual settings, and researchers will use special equipment to track movement and other responses. Interviews will also be conducted to gather feedback.

  • This study is open to people 40 years and older with Parkinson's who can walk without assistance.
  • It involves questionnaires, movement tasks, and walking assessments using VR technology.
  • Participants will help improve how FoF is measured, with a focus on safety and acceptability.
