This study looks at the long-term safety and effectiveness of a treatment called NT-501 for a rare eye condition called Macular Telangiectasia Type 2 (MacTel). It's a Phase 4 study, which means it's checking the treatment's safety over a longer time after earlier phases showed it works.
NT-501 is an implant placed in the eye. Some people in the study received this implant in earlier studies, while others had a pretend procedure (sham) and will now get the real implant. The study has three groups:
- Group 1: People who got the implant in earlier Phase 3 studies.
- Group 2: People who got the implant in Phase 1 or 2 studies.
- Group 3: People who had the sham procedure and will now get the implant.
Key Points:
- This study will follow participants for a long time to ensure the treatment is safe and works well.
- Only Group 3 will have a new procedure to get the implant.
- Participants must meet certain health conditions to join and agree to study rules.
