This study looks at how to better send messages to patients about joining research studies using MyChart. MyChart is a tool that lets doctors send messages directly to patients. The goal is to see which type of message gets patients interested in joining a study. Sometimes studies are delayed because not enough people join. Many patients are willing to join but don’t know about the studies. This study tests four types of messages: the regular message, a message saying why the study is important, a message with payment information, and a message with both details. We'll see which message works best to get people interested. The study also looks at how often people decide not to join or change their settings to not get messages about studies. Some patients will be interviewed to find out what they think about the messages.

  • Participants will receive messages through MyChart.
  • All studies using MyChart are eligible, except those not using it.
  • Patients must be adults and not excluded from primary studies.
