This study is testing a new medicine called eloralintide to see if it helps people with obstructive sleep apnea (a condition where breathing stops and starts during sleep) who are either obese (very overweight) or overweight. There are two different groups in the study: one for people who cannot or choose not to use Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) therapy, and another for those who have been using PAP therapy for at least 3 months before the study begins.
To join, you need to have a history of moderate-to-severe sleep apnea, a certain body weight and BMI (a measure of body fat), and have tried but struggled to lose weight through diet. If you've had obesity surgery or certain heart problems recently, you can't participate. The study lasts about 76 weeks, which is almost a year and a half.
- Study participation lasts around 76 weeks.
- Two groups: one without PAP therapy, one with PAP therapy.
- Cannot join if recent heart problems or obesity surgeries.
