Phase 2

This study is for Hispanic or Latino/Latina teens and young adults who survived childhood cancer. It aims to see if a home-based exercise program can help them stay fit. Cancer treatments can sometimes lead to problems like weight gain and tiredness. Regular exercise can help keep these issues in check. Participants will wear a Fitbit, a device that tracks physical activity, and set exercise goals. They will also join a social media group for support.

Key Points:

  • The study lasts 12 weeks, with weekly activities and check-ins.
  • Participants will be split into two groups; one group gets more support, while the other just uses the Fitbit.
  • Participants must be between 15 and 21 years old and identify as Hispanic or Latino/Latina.

Eligible participants should have finished cancer treatment within the last 3 to 36 months and should not be very active already. They need to be able to use electronic devices like a Fitbit or smartphone. Some people, like those with certain medical conditions or recent transplants, cannot join. Participants must sign a consent form to join the study.
