Phase N/A

This study looks at how eating cottonseed oil (CSO) affects heart health. CSO is a type of oil found in some foods, and researchers think it might help with cholesterol and other health markers. Cholesterol is a fat found in your blood, and having too much can increase your risk for heart problems. In this study, participants will drink special shakes containing different amounts of CSO three times a week for 56 days. There are three groups: CSO-30, CSO-20, and a Control group with no oil.

Participants must visit the study site five times: three short visits and two longer ones. These visits include blood tests and measuring body changes. The study is double-blinded, meaning neither participants nor researchers know who gets which treatment until the end. This helps ensure the results are fair.

  • Participants consume study shakes and snacks 3 times a week for 8 weeks.
  • Requires 5 visits to the study site for tests and measurements.
  • Participants must be at risk for heart disease (e.g., high cholesterol).
