This study is about finding out which bowel preparation, Golytely or SUPREP, works better for cleaning the intestines before a colonoscopy (a test to look inside the colon) in people with diabetes. Researchers want to see if there's a big difference in how well these preps work and how easy they are for patients to take. The Boston Bowel Prep Score (BBPS) is a way to measure how clean the bowel is, and the Mayo Bowel Prep Tolerability Form (MBPTF) checks how well patients handle the prep.
- Participants will be randomly given either Golytely or SUPREP to take before their colonoscopy.
- They must fill out a form about how they felt taking the prep on the day of the procedure.
- A doctor who doesn't know which prep was used will score how clean the bowel is during the colonoscopy.
If you join this study, you must be over 18, have diabetes, and be able to understand and agree to the study rules. Pregnant women or those with certain medical conditions can't participate. This study will help doctors choose the best bowel prep for people with diabetes.
