RESTORE is a study to help prevent future fragile bone breaks, called fractures, and improve recovery. The study compares two ways to care for patients after they have a fracture. One group gets Augmented-FLS—extra help from a patient navigator who connects them with a bone health doctor. The other group gets Enhanced Usual Care, which gives both patients and their primary care doctors (PCP) more information to understand and manage bone health.
Eligibility:
- Must be 50 years or older and have had a fragility fracture within the past year.
- Must have a regular PCP and plan to stay close to the study location.
- Certain medications and medical conditions might exclude you from the study.
Key Points:
- Participation may not involve additional visits but requires being in contact with the research team.
- The study will observe how different factors like age and race affect the care options.
- Participants receive support to improve bone health and prevent future fractures.
