**CAPTAIN-T2D** is a study for people with type 2 diabetes and high cortisol levels. Cortisol is a hormone that can affect blood sugar levels. The study has two parts. **Part 1** is the screening, lasting 5 to 9 weeks, where you will undergo tests to check eligibility. **Part 2** is the treatment phase, lasting 24 weeks, where participants will be randomly given either a new drug, **clofutriben**, or a placebo (a pill with no medicine). A follow-up phone call happens 4 weeks after the trial ends.
