This study aims to find out if a special vitamin and mineral supplement helps new moms improve their nutrition and health after having a baby. The supplement is compared to a placebo, which looks like the supplement but doesn't have active ingredients. Participants will visit the University of Georgia two times in 12 weeks, with each visit lasting 1 to 1.5 hours. They will also have two phone calls. During the study, participants will stop taking other vitamin/mineral supplements. They will give blood, urine, and optional breastmilk samples to check vitamin levels. Height, weight, and skin color will be measured, and they will answer questions about health, pregnancy, mood, and diet. Participants will take either the supplement or placebo daily.

  • The study lasts 12 weeks with 2 in-person visits and 2 phone calls.
  • Participants stop other vitamin/mineral supplements during the trial.
  • Participants receive either the study supplement or a placebo to take daily.
