Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) is a way to check your blood sugar without pricking your finger. This study uses CGM to spot high blood sugar early in pregnant women. The researchers want to see if high blood sugar affects the baby's size, causes shoulder injuries, or other health problems. They are also checking if it leads to high blood pressure in moms.
Pregnant women up to 14 weeks and 6 days along, without diabetes, can join. Participants will wear a hidden CGM sensor for 5 to 10 days. If their blood sugar is high, they might join a special group for extra monitoring. If not, they’ll be in a watch-only group. Randomization happens by 16 weeks and 6 days if they meet the criteria.
Key Points:
- **Eligibility:** Must be pregnant with no diabetes history and under 15 weeks along.
- **Participation:** Wear a CGM sensor for 5-10 days for screening.
- **Compensation and Risks:** No direct compensation, but extra health checkups; minimal risks from CGM use.
This trial might help manage early pregnancy blood sugar, improving mother and baby health.
