Phase 3

Atrophic acne scars are flat or indented marks left on the skin after acne heals. These scars can affect how people feel about themselves. This study is testing a new gel called ELAPR002f to see if it’s safe and works well for treating these scars. The gel is injected into the skin to help fill in the scars.

There are two parts to the study. In one part, all participants get the gel. In the other part, some get the gel, and some get a saline solution, which is a saltwater mix. You might have a 1 in 4 chance of getting the saline. About 395 adults will be part of this study across the U.S. Participants will get 3 injections over 2 months and will be checked for 12 more months.

  • This study involves regular visits to a hospital or clinic.
  • Participants will receive injections and have medical checks and blood tests.
  • There might be more effort involved compared to regular treatment.

To join, participants should have moderate to severe acne scars but not other skin issues like active acne or certain types of scars.
