This study wants to see if a new way of helping people with voice problems works better than the old way. People with two common types of voice problems—muscle tension dysphonia (MTD), where throat muscles are too tight, and benign vocal fold lesions, like lumps on vocal cords—can join. The new method, called Conversation Training Therapy (CTT), starts with using clear speech in real conversations right away. This is different from the old way, which starts with simple sounds and gradually moves to normal speech. The study will last for one year.
- Participants must attend all sessions and record practice on a smartphone.
- Participants should not have had any voice therapy or surgery in the last year.
- Participants will help find out if the new therapy works better for long-lasting results.
