**Study on Constipation Patterns**
Chronic constipation, affecting many people, is hard to understand and treat. This study explores a new device called *Fecobionics*, which acts like a real stool to see how the body handles bowel movements. It measures things like pressure and shape in the rectum and anal canal. The study aims to find out how normal and constipated patients differ in their defecation process. The hope is that this will lead to better treatments.
- **Study Duration:** Participants will undergo various testing procedures, which may include EMG (measuring muscle activity) and ultrasound imaging. Each test is non-invasive and safe.
- **Participants Needed:** Two groups - healthy individuals and those with chronic constipation. Each group will have specific selection criteria to ensure they fit the study needs.
- **Compensation and Risk**: Participants will be compensated for their time, and the study poses minimal risk as it uses a low-cost, radiation-free device.
This study can potentially lead to new treatment methods, improving care for those with constipation. Eligible participants should be willing to consent and undergo the tests without any history of specific medical conditions or surgeries.
**Eligibility:** Healthy individuals with normal bowel movements and patients diagnosed with chronic constipation. Pregnant women and those with certain medical conditions cannot participate.
