Phase 2/3
This study is looking at a new drug called **BHV-7000** to see if it helps adults with *refractory focal epilepsy*. This type of epilepsy means seizures start in one part of the brain and are hard to control with usual medicines. Eligible participants are people aged 18 to 75 who have had this kind of epilepsy for at least a year. They must have tried at least two different medicines without success. Participants should be able to keep a diary of their seizures. People with certain medical histories, like recent brain surgery, may not join. - **Duration**: The study requires participants to stay on their current epilepsy medicines but include BHV-7000. - **Visits**: Participants will need to visit the clinic for check-ups and tests throughout the study. - **Risks and Compensation**: The study will monitor for any side effects. Participants may receive compensation for their time. This study could help find a new treatment option for people with difficult-to-control seizures. If eligible, joining the study could contribute to important research.
