Phase N/A
**Study Summary** This study focuses on understanding how African-American men with prostate cancer make decisions about their treatment. **Prostate cancer** is a type of cancer that occurs in the prostate, a small gland in men that produces seminal fluid. Researchers want to see if a simple, easy-to-understand educational guide can help patients better understand their treatment options and side effects after talking with their **urologist**, a doctor who specializes in urinary and male reproductive health. **Key Points:** - **Participation** involves interviews with newly diagnosed, early-stage prostate cancer patients to see how well they understand treatment options. - **Educational Supplement**: After a regular doctor visit, patients will receive a low-literacy educational guide to help improve understanding. - **Exclusions**: People with a medical degree, history of head injury, **dementia** (a condition affecting memory and thinking), or other cognitive impairments cannot participate. Participants should have undergone a specific pathology review and have early stage (T1-T2) prostate cancer. This study aims to reduce confusion and help patients make informed decisions about their treatment.
