Phase N/A

This study tests a device called the Anaconda ANA Funnel Catheter to help treat strokes caused by large blocked blood vessels. **Mechanical thrombectomy** is a procedure that removes clots from blood vessels in the brain. The ANA device helps doctors navigate other devices during this procedure and temporarily stops blood flow to make the clot removal more effective. The study compares the ANA device to standard treatments using stent retrievers, which are tiny tube-like devices that help remove clots.

**Eligibility**: Participants must be aged 22 to 85, have new stroke symptoms, and be treatable within 16 hours of symptom onset. Some exclusions include recent strokes, certain health conditions, or being unable to attend follow-ups.

  • **Length of Study**: The study requires follow-ups for 90 days.
  • **Visits Needed**: Regular check-ups and imaging tests are part of the study.
  • **Risks**: There could be risks associated with the procedure and the use of the device.

Why should I take part in a clinical trial?

Participating in a clinical trial provides early access to potentially effective treatments and directly contributes to the healthcare advancements that benefit us all.

How long does a clinical trial take place?

The duration of clinical trials varies. Some trials last weeks, some years, depending on the phase and intention of the trial.

Do I get compensated for taking part in clinical trials?

Compensation varies per trial. Some offer payment or reimbursement for time and travel, while others may not.

How safe are clinical trials?
