Phase N/A
Study Summary This study is comparing two ways to manage blood pressure: technology-enabled management vs. usual care. Participants are divided into three groups, each with different recruitment strategies. One group is at Stanford with two cohorts, and another group is at Morehouse School of Medicine. The goal is to see if technology helps in better recruiting and managing patients with high blood pressure, especially focusing on diverse groups. Key Points:
  • Participants need to visit the clinic for screening and may receive texts or emails for communication.
  • The study aims to improve diversity by including more African-American, Hispanic/Latinx individuals, and women.
  • Participants in the study may receive compensation and will be monitored for changes in their blood pressure management.
This trial is suitable for adults aged 30-90 who have smartphones, a high blood pressure reading of ≥ 140 mm Hg, and are able to adjust current medications. However, individuals with certain medical conditions, recent hospitalizations for severe hypertension, or those in other clinical studies are not eligible to participate.
