This study aims to see if switching from cigarettes (CIG) to a tobacco heating system (THS) helps people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and chronic bronchitis feel better. COPD is a lung disease causing breathing problems, while chronic bronchitis means a long-term cough with mucus. The study checks if people feel less short of breath or cough less after switching to THS.

  • Length: The study involves several visits over time.
  • Participation: Participants must be over 40 years old, have been smoking for 10 years or more, and have a specific level of lung function.
  • Compensation: People may receive some form of compensation for joining this study.

Eligibility requires no recent use of cannabis or certain medications, and participants must not have certain health conditions. Women must not be pregnant or breastfeeding. The study is not suitable for those with certain medical histories.
