This study checks how well a medicine called IMVT-1402 works and how safe it is for adults with a disease called generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG). This disease makes muscles weak because the immune system attacks the body. The study lasts for 26 weeks, about 6 months. To join, you need to understand and agree to the study rules. You must have mild to severe gMG as per the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America (MGFA) standards, which means your muscle weakness is noticeable. You also need a score of 6 or more on a test that measures how much gMG affects your daily life.
Some people cannot join. If you had a myasthenic crisis (a serious muscle weakness episode) recently, or if you had a thymectomy (a surgery to remove a gland) less than 6 months ago, you cannot participate. Also, if you have a certain type of tumor called a thymoma that is not treated, you are not eligible.
