Phase 2/3

This study aims to find out if a new medication called BHV-7000 can help adults with a type of epilepsy called Idiopathic Generalized Epilepsy (IGE), which includes Generalized Tonic-Clonic (GTC) seizures. These seizures are when the whole body stiffens and jerks. The study will also have an open-label extension phase, where all participants receive the study drug.

To join, you need to be between 18-75 years old and have IGE diagnosed at least 6 months ago. You should have tried at least two different epilepsy treatments without success. You need to have had at least 3 days with GTC seizures in the last 16 weeks. A caregiver can help you keep a seizure diary.

Key points:

  • The study requires accurate record-keeping of seizures.
  • Participants should not have a history of severe seizure episodes in the last 6 months.
  • Participants will continue their current epilepsy treatments alongside BHV-7000.
