Phase 3

This study looks at how a new medicine, orforglipron, helps people lose weight. Orforglipron will be compared to a placebo (a pill with no medicine) to see how well it works. These health issues include high blood pressure (hypertension), high cholesterol (dyslipidemia), trouble sleeping due to blocked airways (obstructive sleep apnea), or heart disease. People with diabetes cannot join this study. The study lasts about 18 months, and participants must have tried to lose weight before without success.

  • Study Duration: About 18 months.
  • Eligibility: Must have a BMI of 30 or higher, or 25 with a related health issue, and no diabetes.
  • Restrictions: Cannot have unstable body weight, certain heart issues, or other weight loss treatments.
