Phase 2

This study tests a new drug called QCZ484 for people with mild to moderate high blood pressure (hypertension). High blood pressure means the force of blood against your artery walls is too high. The study compares QCZ484 with a placebo, which is a substance with no active medicine, to see if QCZ484 works well and is safe. The medicine is given as a shot under the skin every 6 months. This is a Phase 2b study, which means it's testing how well the drug works and how safe it is in a larger group of people.

  • The study lasts several months, with multiple doses given every 6 months.
  • Participants may need to stop current blood pressure medicine for 4 weeks.
  • There may be risks, such as side effects from the medicine or from stopping current treatment.
