**Safety Study of RO7669330 for Eye Condition** This study is testing a new medication called **RO7669330** for people with a specific eye condition called **geographic atrophy (GA)**, which is linked to age-related macular degeneration (**AMD**). GA is a disease that damages the retina, the part of the eye that helps us see. This study will check how safe and tolerable the medicine is when given as an eye injection (intravitreal injection). The study will also check how the body processes the drug (pharmacokinetics) and how the drug affects the body (pharmacodynamics). Participants will need clear eye scans and will be observed for changes in their ability to see. The study excludes people who have had certain eye surgeries or treatments before. Participants must not have other eye diseases that could affect the study results. - **Study Duration:** Multiple visits for injections and eye tests over a period of time. - **Eligibility:** Must have GA due to AMD and meet specific vision requirements. - **Risks:** Eye injections and possible side effects, but monitored by doctors. **

Note:** Participation involves time commitment and medical checks.

Learn more about clinical trials

What is a clinical trial?

A clinical trial is a study designed to test specific interventions or treatments' effectiveness and safety, paving the way for new, innovative healthcare solutions.

Why should I take part in a clinical trial?

Participating in a clinical trial provides early access to potentially effective treatments and directly contributes to the healthcare advancements that benefit us all.

How long does a clinical trial take place?

The duration of clinical trials varies. Some trials last weeks, some years, depending on the phase and intention of the trial.

Do I get compensated for taking part in clinical trials?

Compensation varies per trial. Some offer payment or reimbursement for time and travel, while others may not.

How safe are clinical trials?

Clinical trials follow strict ethical guidelines and protocols to safeguard participants' health. They are closely monitored and safety reviewed regularly.
