This study is for adults with celiac disease, a condition where eating gluten causes the body's immune system to attack the intestine. The study will test a new medicine called TEV-53408 to see if it can help protect the intestines from gluten damage and check if it's safe to use. The study will last for about 86 weeks, which is almost 1 year and 8 months.
People who want to join must have been diagnosed with celiac disease for at least a year and be on a gluten-free diet for the same amount of time. Women should not be pregnant or planning to become pregnant, and men must agree to use protection to prevent pregnancy during the study.
Key points to consider:
- The study will take about 86 weeks.
- Participants should be on a gluten-free diet for at least a year.
- Contact the investigator for more criteria and details.
To participate, you should not have certain other health issues, like severe symptoms from gluten or other gut problems. Pregnant women or those planning to become pregnant cannot join. Also, people with recent infections or who drink a lot of alcohol or use substances should not take part.
