Phase 2

This study is looking at a new medicine called AZD6234 for people who are overweight or have obesity and also have type 2 diabetes. People in the study will keep taking their usual medicine called GLP-1 RA, which helps control blood sugar. The study is being done to see if AZD6234 is safe, works well, and is okay to use. A total of 64 people aged 18-75 years, with a BMI (Body Mass Index) of 27 or higher, will be randomly chosen to receive either the new medicine or a placebo (a fake treatment) through a weekly shot under the skin.

  • The study involves a screening phase, treatment, and follow-up period.
  • Participants will get weekly shots and will continue their current GLP-1 RA medication.
  • Some people cannot join, like those who had a big weight change recently or need insulin for diabetes.

**Things to know**: The study checks safety and effects of the new medicine and requires regular doctor visits. Participants will stay on their current medicine while trying the new one. Some people may not qualify based on health history or current treatments.
