Study Overview: This study is looking at a medicine called tezepelumab to see if it helps people with a lung disease called Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). COPD makes it hard to breathe and can get worse over time. This study is for adults aged 40-80 who have moderate to very severe COPD and have had flare-ups in the last year.
How It Works: Participants will either get tezepelumab or a placebo (a pretend medicine) through monthly injections for about 1 to 1.5 years. A placebo is used to help compare the effects of the real medicine. After stopping the medicine, there will be a 12-week period to check on participants' safety.
Key Points:
- Participants will need to visit the study center regularly over a period of up to 76 weeks.
- Participants must have had recent COPD flare-ups and be on certain COPD therapies.
- The study will assess both the effectiveness and safety of the medicine.
Please contact the study team if you have COPD and are interested in participating.
