Phase 3

This study is looking at how well a medicine called sotagliflozin works for people with a heart condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is when the heart muscle becomes too thick and can make it hard for the heart to pump blood. The study compares sotagliflozin to a placebo, which looks like the medicine but doesn't have the active medicine in it.

Participants will be checked for certain symptoms and how well they can do daily activities. The study involves people who have specific heart measurements and who haven't had certain heart treatments recently.

  • The study will last for several months, and participants will need to visit the study site multiple times.
  • No prior use of sotagliflozin or similar medications is allowed.
  • There may be some risks, such as side effects, but these will be monitored by doctors.

Before joining, it's important to talk to your doctor to see if this study is a good fit for you. Participants must meet certain health criteria and not have certain other medical conditions.
