The VIVID study tests a new drug, VGA039, for people with Von Willebrand Disease (VWD), a bleeding disorder where blood doesn’t clot well. The study has five parts and involves healthy volunteers and people with VWD. Some people will get the drug through a needle in their vein (IV) or under their skin (SC). Parts of the study are double-blind, meaning neither the doctor nor the participant knows if they are getting the drug or a placebo (a fake treatment). Other parts are open-label, where everyone knows the participant gets the real drug. Participation lasts 8 to 15 weeks. To join, you must be 12 to 60 years old, and have no serious health issues. If you have VWD, you should have symptoms like bleeding or bruising. You cannot join if you have certain blood disorders or have used hormonal contraceptives recently.
