A Study of Dulaglutide in Children with Type 2 Diabetes

This study is looking at different doses of a medicine called dulaglutide for kids with Type 2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is when the body doesn't use sugar properly, leading to high blood sugar. Dulaglutide is a medicine that helps lower blood sugar. The study will last about 8 months.

To join, kids must have Type 2 diabetes and be treated with diet, exercise, and either metformin (a diabetes medicine) or basal insulin (a long-acting insulin). Their weight should be at least 50 kilograms, and their Body Mass Index (BMI) should be above the 85th percentile for their age and height.

However, kids cannot join if they have Type 1 diabetes, a history of certain serious diabetes problems, or have used other diabetes medicines recently. They also cannot join if they or their family have a history of certain thyroid or pancreas diseases.

  • Study duration: about 8 months
  • Eligibility: Must have stable Type 2 diabetes treatment
  • Exclusions: No recent other diabetes medication use
