Study Overview: This study aims to test a mobile health app designed specifically for Black men with prostate cancer, either currently in treatment or survivors. It seeks to improve their quality of life by providing education, symptom tracking, and sharing experiences from other patients.

What is Prostate Cancer? It's a type of cancer that occurs in the prostate, a small gland in men that produces seminal fluid.

Study Participation:

  • Participants complete online surveys at the start and every 3 months up to 12 months.
  • A selected group will use the app daily for a year, reporting symptoms and mood weekly.
  • Feedback interviews will be conducted after 12 months.

Eligibility: Black men diagnosed with prostate cancer within the last five years, who speak English and own a smartphone, can participate. Men from other races, without a cancer diagnosis, or diagnosed over five years ago cannot join.

This study helps participants be active in their care and offers a chance to shape a tool that could help others in the future.
