This study is about testing a new medicine, nirmatrelvir/ritonavir, for kids under 18 who have COVID-19 but are not in the hospital. The goal is to see if it is safe and how well it works. The medicine is meant for kids who might get very sick. Pharmacokinetics is a big word that means how the medicine moves and changes in the body. Efficacy is about how well the medicine works.

To join this study, kids must have had a positive COVID-19 test in the last 72 hours and show symptoms within the last 5 days. They also need to have a higher risk of getting very sick from COVID-19. Kids who have been in the hospital for COVID-19, are on dialysis, or have other serious health problems cannot participate.
