Phase 3

Study Summary: This research is exploring the effects of a medicine called BNC210 on people with social anxiety disorder. Social anxiety disorder means feeling very nervous in social situations. The study is testing how a single dose of BNC210 affects anxiety levels when compared to a placebo (a pill with no medicine). It involves a task that usually makes people feel anxious and measures their anxiety using a tool called the Subjective Units of Distress Scale (SUDS).

Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either BNC210 or a placebo. After taking the dose, they will perform an anxiety-provoking task. A follow-up check will be done a week later via phone or video call to ensure safety.

  • This study is short, involving one clinic visit and a follow-up call.
  • Participants should have a diagnosis of social anxiety disorder and meet other criteria.
  • There are certain conditions like depression or substance use that may prevent participation.
