Phase 4

The **CLOZAPINE Response in Biotype-1** study is a clinical trial designed to see how a drug called clozapine works on people with certain mental health conditions like schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. *Clozapine* is a medication used to treat symptoms like hallucinations or delusions. The study will take place at five different locations and will involve two groups of people. One group will take clozapine, and the other group will take a different drug called risperidone, which is also used to treat similar symptoms.

This study will last for some time, and participants will need to visit the study site regularly for check-ups. The researchers will measure how well the medication works by looking at changes in symptoms. They hope that clozapine will work better for certain people (called B1 participants) than other medications. Participants must be between 18 to 60 years old and meet certain health criteria to join. However, people with certain medical conditions or who have used clozapine before may not be able to participate.

  • Visits will be required throughout the study.
  • Clozapine and risperidone are the main treatments tested.
  • Participants must meet specific health criteria to join.
