The study aims to build a big database of heart patients, collecting information from about 12,000 people in various hospitals and community places in Atlanta. This data will help learn more about what causes heart problems like heart attacks, angina, heart failure, high blood pressure, and stroke. The study will gather data by asking patients questions, checking medical records, and taking blood or cheek swabs for tests. This will help understand how to better prevent and treat heart diseases.
- Participation: For people 18+ with heart issues, or in good health in Atlanta, able to give blood or cheek swab.
- Exclusions: Severe anemia, recent blood transfusions, active cancer, unable to consent.
- Benefits: Help advance heart disease understanding and treatment.
Participants help scientists learn more about heart disease causes and treatments. This might lead to better care and prevention plans for heart diseases in the future.
