Phase N/A

This study looks at how well **teledermatology**, or getting skin care help through a computer, works for new patients. It will also try to improve a computer program that helps detect skin problems using pictures sent by patients. The study will be done at three VA facilities: San Francisco, Decatur, and Aurora. Only new patients referred from 2021 to 2025 can join. Patients who don't get care at these places or outside these dates can't join. The study will compare how easy it is to access care using this method versus traditional visits. It will also check if patients and staff like this new way to get care and test the computer program that looks at skin images to see if it works well.

  • The study runs from 2021 to 2025 at specific locations.
  • Participants will use an app for their dermatology consultation.
  • Feedback from patients and staff will help improve the service.
