Phase 2

This study is for adults with moderate-to-severe asthma that isn't controlled with medium to high doses of medication called ICS-LABA (Inhaled Corticosteroids and Long-Acting Beta-Agonists). The study will test a new asthma treatment, AZD4604, delivered through a dry-powder inhaler, for 12 weeks. Participants will be randomly assigned to the treatment or a placebo group, and neither the participants nor the researchers will know who is receiving the actual medication (this is called a double-blind study).

To take part, you need to be between 18 and 80 years old, and have had a severe asthma attack in the past year. You also need to be on a stable dose of your current asthma medication for at least 3 months. You cannot join if you have certain health issues, like recent severe asthma attacks or other major diseases.

  • The study lasts for about 3 months with regular visits.
  • You will need to continue taking your usual asthma medication and follow study instructions.
  • There may be risks or side effects, so discuss with your doctor if this study is right for you.
